About Institution

The University of London is a collegiate and a federal research university located in London, England. The University was incorporated originally by royal charter in 1836 and is, at present, incorporated by royal charter granted in 1863. It is now governed by the University of London Act 1994 and by the Statutes made under it. The university currently consists of 18 constituent colleges, nine research institutes and a number of central bodies. The collegiate university houses the second-oldest medical school in London, and was the first to admit women as degree candidates in the United Kingdom and also the first to appoint a female as its Vice Chancellor in the United Kingdom.

Scholarship Details

The University of London School of African Studies (SOAS), UK invites applications for the  Felix Trust Scholarship program which is offered to International students who wants to pursue a degree program in the institution.
This scholarship is aimed primarily at candidates who are  nationals of Sub-Saharan African countries living in their country of origin.

Value Of Scholarship: The Felix scholarship covers the full cost of tuition fees; living costs (£15,560 in 2017-18) and a return air fare. This Masters scholarship is shared with International Students House, which provides free accommodation and breakfast. The accommodation cost will be deducted from the living cost of £15,560.

Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must:
  • be citizens of a Sub-Saharan African country.
  • have a first class undergraduate degree.
  • demonstrate financial need.
  • have applied to or applying to The University of London for a Masters taught program.
How To Apply: Interested applicants are advised to submit a COMPLETE on-line application for admission before applying for the Felix Masters scholarship program
After you must have applied for a masters taught program in the institution, applicants can now apply for the Scholarship program
A complete application for admission includes:
  • transcripts,
  • an explanation of the grading system for any degree obtained outside of the UK,
  • two references,
  • CV, and
  • a personal statement.
