#Talk_Your_Mata_Make_Absu_Beta

FROM THE OFFICE OF THE SUG P.R.O -NWOKEKE SOCHIMA WRITES:

Good day to you all great IKENGAS & IKENGRESSES.

My name is Comr NWOKEKE SOCHIMA. Your votes gave victory to me as the S.U.G. P.R.O. as well as other executives who are currently occupying different posts in our union. Yes we are because you are but don't forget that we are STUDENTS just like YOU.

For a while now, I have watched the media being floated by different posts of supplications, lamentations, presentations and identifications.

The Silence from the S.U.G. on this issue of school fees policy for the past few days was not due to the lack of interventional capacities or facts but based on diplomacy and psychology of human response and behavior.

Many of us don't even know the true state of things and the angle where everything is heading to. For most of us all we know is that we were asked to leave the classes just like we do in the secondary school. Please the following is the true position of the situation:

+ Absu is one of the 7 Universities in the country that is still paying 100% salaries to their workers despite the recession period.
+ Absu is one of the few universities that possess and maintain accreditation in all the departments existing in them.
+ The maintenance of the institution has been the responsibility of the school administration without assistance from the Government for a long time.
+ Absu workers are not owed as they are paid as at when due to inhibit strike actions from any of the staff unions.

Fellow students, honestly speaking if we don't pay, it is as good as not coming to school at all because soon workers will go on strike and we will be at loosing end.

Great Absu students, I want you to understand that RIOT is the retaliation of the insane. Many students have been behind the scene pushing the SUG executives to go on placards and heat up the campus on violent grounds, yet they only empower this suggestion on the social media as they can't come out openly for the action they suggest.

Let's take demonstration at FUTO by her students for example. Guess what?
-they are back to pay the proposed fees,
-they paid surcharge fees for the demolition of infrastructure and even innocent students who didn't play any role in the act also paid.
-the best part of it is that the lecturers and workers were earning their full salaries during the period.
-now, they are still talking of first semester proceedings at this time of the year.

Ideally, there can't any protest without a dialogue and so protest is very much out of the context.
This is because, the S.U.G. has been on dialogues with the school management.
Without any sentiment I want to say this, most of us keep our school fees in our banks accounts comfortably, some squander theirs while some look profits with theirs while waiting for moments like this so as to pioneer the agitations when the University needs the fees.

The Vice Chancellor has been misunderstood, misinterpreted and miscomprehended. Honestly, He did not attach any penalty at the expiration of 2 the weeks Grace he gave to pay up. He knows as a father that times are hard and has continued to be considerate but we students have not stopped summarizing his administration as wicked and callous on public grounds.
While the S.U.G. President and Vice are always frequenting the senate building pleading on behalf of the students, all we get are not your prayers, support and even encouragement but castigations...S.U.G. this, S.U.G that.

We are students like you who and we are poised to act with positive virtues for the betterment of our union.
At least, our initial plea got us the 2weeks grace and we are not tired of pleading. We will continue to plead for the students who are yet to pay.

But the last we shall do is to go violent and silly, Comr Remijius led administration will not be party to that.
It is well. Standing on this ground for the S.U.G. President, I want us to live up to expectations as God's own students and remain optimistic for once.

I know this may get most students furious but read this post again with honesty in your heart and act as your conscience directs you.

Remijius led administration will plead, persist and advocate for the students continuously.
That's the reason for Unionism and not Violence.

I stand for honesty.
God bless you all.
I am the S.U.G. P.R.O. and
NWOKEKE SOCHIMA is my name.

STILL ON NO SCHOOL FEES, NO LECTURES SAGA.

Many students have raised eyebrows and have come out to express their reactions over the passed bill in Absu which have already taken effect.

Below is one of the stricking reactions:

#ABSU#
No school fees, No course registration, No registration, No result policy, we accepted with good heart, but we say NO to this" no school fees no lecture".
Even when the school portals frustrated our life
due to the delay and mistakes in portals, the students have no option than to write a carry over in that course, not because we failed but because of the inefficiency of the portals.

The students are among the stakeholders of the school, therefore i think we should be considered first before any policy should be applied in the school.

I oblige every ABSU students to say no to this new development, because if u can afford to pay your fees on time, what about your friend who is next to you who can't afford three square meal.
Our voice must be heard
Say no to no school fees no lecture

SUG PRESIDENT SPEAKS ON THE NO SCHOOL FEES, NO LECTURE SAGA.

THE PRESIDENCY S.U.G

Prior to the recent policy enacted"NO SCHOOL FEES NO LECTURE" which has started taking effect in many departments in the campus.

This i believe has affected affected alot of students.

Can a tree make a forest?
Can a body remain whole when its part is affected?

I your president comrade Nwazuo Remijus is equally affected by this recent policy.
I use this medium to plead to every student of this great institution to stay put, without violence, respect the authorities of this institution(ABIA STATE UNIVERSITY UTURU)

Citris paribus, i plead that every student should pay their tuition fees, as this will help in perfect management of this institution.

Compliance to this i believe will prevent any future strike occurrence, which will affect all of us negatively.
I and my excos have started negotiation with the authorities of this institution concerning the recent development(NO SCHOOL FEES NO LECTURES)

We believe to achieve a positive result that will guarantee conduciveness in learning and excellence acquisition.

S.U.G PRESIDENT
COMRADE NWAZUO REMIJUS CHISOM.

NATIONAL PASTOR'S KIDS CONFERENCE 2017, 2nd-3rd June. Ajao-Estate, Lagos. NIGERIA

This is a non- denominational outreach been propounded by Mercy Ogechi Ezekiel of Christian Pentecostal Mission International. This is a conference organised every year for all Pastor's Children across the globe, inorder to re-unite and have together with each other inorder to fulfil the mandates we are called to do in our denominations and spiritual lives. This is a must attend prgram for all Pastor's Children all over the globe.

"Why do so many preachers' kids walk away from the faith?"

When preachers’ kids, so-called PKs, walk away from the faith in which they have been brought up, it is a sad thing and a poor testimony to the truth of Christianity. Although true Christians cannot lose their salvation, many, including some raised in the homes of pastors and ministers of the gospel, can and do walk away from the faith, at least for a period of time. By the grace of God who gives the gift of faith to His own, those who are truly in the saved will return (Ephesians 2:8–9).

Preachers’ kids who leave the faith may do so for a variety of reasons. Many preachers’ kids are deeply hurt by the way church members treat their parents. Young people see the anger and conflict that can arise in even the best of congregations, and they conclude that the “religion” these people profess can’t be real. Young people see these conflicts as hypocrisy. They then begin to question their own faith.

Preachers’ kids are often under a lot of pressure to be perfect, or at least to act like it so they won’t disgrace the family and the church. So they try to live up to everyone's expectations, and this can lead them to practice the very hypocrisy they see in others. Especially in smaller churches, the pastor's family is put on a pedestal with everyone watching their every move.

The children of clergymen often believe the church is stealing their father’s time away from them. Pastors typically work 50-hour weeks, leaving their children fighting for attention. Statistically, most pastors change churches every five years. This can mean a child moves 3-4 times during his or her childhood. They experience the stress of losing their homes, their schools, and their friends, and they intuitively blame God or the religion for the upheaval. But these children often have no one to turn to. Their parents are dealing with the stress of finding a new job, the financial insecurity, and the causes for the move, which are usually negative. So, not wanting to add to the stress, kids can keep their anger and frustration hidden.

But the resentment built up against God and the faith play into the natural rebelliousness of the teenage years, which is why many preachers’ kids leave the faith during that time or immediately upon entering college. They appear to “conform” to Christianity, saying all the right things and performing all the required duties. But the moment of freedom brings many to reject the hypocrisy of their own lives and their faith along with it. How often we hear sad reports of those who start out so well in the things of religion. Those children who are praised by their parents and relatives for their apparent godliness and zeal at their local church, only to leave home for the first time by going away to a university or a new job only to later return spiritually barren and cold.

What can be done to stem the tide of preachers’ kids leaving the faith? First, it’s important to realize that this is part of Satan’s overall strategy against the church. When ministers’ children leave the faith, the church loses future leaders. The families of those closest to the spiritual battles are prime targets to attack. If the world sees pastors’ families in shambles, it doesn’t speak well of the faith they profess. To counter this situation, pastors must schedule time for their families and children that parishioners cannot interrupt. When kids know that their time with Dad is a priority, outweighing all else, the sense of security they attain from it is enormous. The congregation must also be made aware that their pastor’s time with his family will make him a more effective pastor, and safeguards against incursion into family time must be strictly enforced.

The world is a hard place for Christian believers to grow up in, especially in Western societies. Materialism and all its glamour easily satisfy the senses of the carnal nature. This is all the more true for ministers’ children who have perhaps been brought up with some degree of naiveté because their parents would have them be spared the excesses of this life. Children naturally want to inquire into the things once forbidden by their parents. Therefore, it’s all the more crucial for pastors and their wives to spend time preparing their own children for the temptations they will face, and this can only be achieved by spending adequate time with them.

Perhaps the real issue is the new birth. If any man is in Christ, He is a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17). Indeed, he is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19), whereby he is occupied by One who is greater than the one that is the world, the devil (1 John 4:4). As a result of this, he can not go on sinning (1 John 3:6), although the carnal nature will “war” and “rage” against those new spiritual desires that follow as a consequence of regeneration (Galatians 5:17). A true believer may indeed fall away—sometimes for many years. Indeed, he may show no credible signs that he ever was converted, but it is God who always takes the initiative in restoration. The true child of God is never lost forever (John 6:39Jude 24).

Finally, the importance of prayer cannot be overstated. Both pastors and the congregations they serve should make it a priority to pray continually for their pastor’s children. We must bring our pastor and his family to the throne of grace regularly, asking that they be protected from the evil one by putting on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10–17). By doing so, we help the children remain “strong in the Lord and in his mighty power” and not depart from the faith in which they were raised.
